Visit #1

We had the whole McDonald Family come visit us in January, except for Rebecca. Visit #1 was from Grampa and Texas Grammy. They have retired and were driving from Baltimore to their house in Texas and they stopped to visit us for a few days. They arrived with a snow storm and left with a snow storm. Good times in Chicago in January. We had a great visit with them, as usual. The exciting thing is that this visit Emalyn decided she liked having visitors and warmed up to them right away. I was gone when Emma woke up from her nap and she went right to Grampa and Texas Grammy!

Here is Miss Thing spending some time with Texas Grammy (while wearing her backpack, I might add) reading books.

Cade had his first basketball game while Grampa was here. Brett is a coach and it was fun to watch. I think they even won, even though nobody officially keeps score. Cade's #52, running down the court.

Dribbling down playing point guard.

Miss Maddi girl. She is so supportive of Cade and is his best cheerleader. She never complains about going to his events and she roots for him the whole time. Love that girl.

Some special fans.

Good game, good game...

Unfortunately, we didn't take many pictures while they were visiting. The kids were out of school Monday for MLK day and we had a nice relaxed weekend just hanging out with family. We played a lot of Apples to Apples, dominoes, crafts and watching movies. We finished off the visit with a trip for ice cream at Oberweiss. Cade's friend, Jack, joined us and we all enjoyed our ice cream and time together.

We are looking forward to spending more time with them now that they are back in the states and retired.
