"Snow" much fun!

Sorry about the pun in the title...couldn't resist! We had a 5-6 inch snow Tuesday afternoon/evening. We skipped allergy shots and dance was cancelled because there was so much traffic with the storm coming at rush hour, so the kids had all afternoon to enjoy the fresh snowfall. It was about 10 degrees when the snow fell so it was a very light, fluffy snow. Not good for snowballs, but still fun. Maddi, Grace, Cade, Jack and Andrew had fun putting snow on the slide and sliding down very fast.
My little snow angel, Maddi.

My little snow angel, Cade.

Cade wouldn't open his eyes because it was still snowing so he didn't enjoy the flakes falling in his eyes. He said he didn't want his eyes to freeze. It is a strange phenomenon when it's so cold that you feel your nose freezing inside and feel like your eyeballs will freeze to your eyes. Not so fun, but the kids don't really complain. They love the snow.
Brett was out of town so I had the joy of shoveling our driveway. Cade and Jack helped for a bit until they found the sleds in the garage. Then they were pulling each other up and down the small slope in our front yard in the sled. Luckily the snow was so light and fluffy that shoveling wasn't too much of a pain. Another winter storm is coming tonight and it will be just as much if not more snow and some freezing rain. Good thing is Brett is here to do the shoveling this time!
