Zoo Lights

Thankfully the weather hasn't been brutally cold yet this winter so we took advantage of the nice weather and went to Brookfield Zoo for the zoo lights. We had a great time, along with the rest of Chicago. We couldn't believe how many people were there. It wasn't so bad while we were there but as we were leaving, it got more and more crowded and the line of cars waiting to get in the zoo was amazing. We had some snow the morning we went, so it was even prettier with everything dusted in a light snow. This leopard was very pretty, but this is exactly why I'm afraid of cats. House cat or zoo cat, they are scary to me.

Miss Emalyn LOVED the zoo! We knew she liked it, but for days after, she kept asking to go to the zoo.

Maddi and Cade had a great time at the zoo too. They were happy to ride the motor safari bus instead of walking for part of the time.

Our little family, with Brett as a gorilla. I had some of Brett with the kids too, but I don't want to be replaced with a gorilla!

We always love the primate house.

This was all of our favorite. This monkey had a baby monkey wrapped around it's waste. You can barely see the babies head stickout out on the right by it's belly. It was adorable!

This guys toe reminds me of Brett's toes. Ha! Amazing how human like gorillas are.

Maddi took a break in the stroller while waiting for the laser light show. Emma is not much of a fan of the stroller, she'd rather walk/run or be held.

The laser light show. It was a great show, we all really enjoyed it.

After the laser show, we went to see the dolphins and then it was time for Miss Emalyn to get to bed. I am thankful the weather was warm enough for us to be able to enjoy some outdoor activities.
