2 Days of Water Fun!

Monday morning, we had family pictures at 8:00. I was impressed that we all made it there on time. I love the pictures we had taken. It's not often that our whole crew gets together. Right after pictures, we went to Schlitterbahn for the "hottest, coolest time in Texas". Every time I say Schlitterbahn, I have that slogan pop in my head from years ago. LOVE that place. Everyone had so much fun, even Emma and Quinn. But we didn't take any cameras, so as Cade said, there is no proof that he was there. He was hoping for some pictures to take to show his friends what it's like. Next time we'll have to take a water camera. Omie is awesome and she got us all 2 day passes, so we were able to go back again on Friday. Thanks a ton, Omie! This picture is after we got home and were chilling out after eating another yummy dinner made by Omie.

Benton is a lizzard lover and he spotted a lizzard and recruited his daddy and Uncle Brett, along with his cousins to help catch it.


They finally caught it! Happy kids but I'm sure the lizzard wasn't as happy.

Then it was time for some cup stacking!


Tuesday was another fun day with water. We went to Al's house that's on the river and hung out there and later in the day went out on his boat at Canyon Lake. Emalyn discovered her love affair with Nacho Cheese Doritos.

The kids decided to ditch the kayaks and go swimming in the river. They found out it is very cold!

Omie and Al came up with a scavenger hunt. Cody helped with the team of Paul and Maison.

Brett helped with the team of Cade and Benton.

The kids asked Al to take them out on the boat so they could jump off and have to swim in the freezing water back to shore. I love how Maddi is plugging her nose. It drives Brett crazy that she does this so I wanted to have proof of it forever. I still plug my nose sometimes. Ha ha!

Grace swam back to the boat right away and wanted out of that frigid water!

Sara and Grace. We found out this day that Maddi had cut Grace's eyelashes while we were at their house. Sara noticed it on Grace and asked her and she said Maddi cut them but she wasn't allowed to tell. Ugh...Not one of Maddi's best choices in life.

We drove only a few minutes to get to the lake to go on the boat and Miss Emalyn fell asleep...sucking her thumb. That's never happened!

Al let Maddi drive the boat. All the kids ended up getting a turn to drive, except Emma and Quinn, and we survived!

My little cutie pie. Aunt Gale and Uncle Greg came over for burgers and hot dogs followed by home made ice cream sundaes! It was such a fun day and everyone was worn out by the end of it.
