Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day, thanks to my wonderful children and husband. We started the day at church where we dedicated Emalyn. The preacher is holding her here and talking about how he was hoping she wouldn't spit up on him. He then prayed for her according to the meaning of her name and we vowed to raise her in a Christian home. It was a great way to celebrate Mother's Day!

After church we went to eat at one of my favorite places, The Cheesecake Factory. It was so yummy and we were all so full and had so much food left over so we ate our left overs for dinner. Yeah, I didn't have to cook at all! We only had to wait about 20 minutes for a table, even though they were packed. These three little angels are my 3 favorite things about being a mom. I always loved Mother's Day as a child because I thought it was cool to celebrate my wonderul mom, but being a mom myself and having such loving children is the best!

Me and my sweet Cade at lunch. He woke up at 5:00 am Sunday because he was so excited and he even cleaned his closet while he waited to come out of his room at 6:00 am. This is a boy who loves celebrations and he loves his mommy! After lunch we went home, and while Emalyn napped, Brett took the kids to the park while I napped. Later that day we went back to the park as a family because Maddi had left her sweatshirt there and we had fun racing each other in an obstacle course. Brett did some laundry and unloaded and loaded the dishwasher that night. Brett and the kids all know how to make mommy feel special and loved. The kids made wonderful cards and gifts at school and Brett and the kids got me great gifts.

Emalyn stayed awake during lunch and had her first taste of Cheesecake Factory, munching on little bites of bread, avacado, noodles, and a bite of cheesecake. She fell asleep as we were packing up to leave.

This isn't from Mother's Day, but it's one of the fun parts of being a mom. Cade has been asking to get the jumpy out of the basement for Emalyn. We got it out the other day and she LOVED it. All of the kids were all smiles as she played in her newest "toy".
