Day 2- A Day of Heights

Tuesday morning started early again with Maddi dancing. They had their lyrical dance and they did well. They got a platinum and finished in 10th place overall for small groups. Maddi had a grumpy face here because she was upset that one of the girls stopped to pick up another girls earring that fell out while they were dancing. She has enjoyed this year of dance but has also wished it was a little more challenging at times.

After dance and awards, we went back to the room for lunch and then headed to Broadway at the Beach. Cade's in the orange shirt and Maddi's in the green shorts jumping on the bungee trampoline.

All 4 kids jumping (Maddi is flipping). Maddi did this 3 years ago and was terrified once she started jumping. She was afraid of heights back then. Not any more :)

More flipping from Maddi and Cade jumping. I wanted to do this so bad but after my third child, jumping isn't so fun :( Getting old isn't fun.

Cade was being a grump at this point and wouldn't get in the picture. I got in instead. I really wanted Maddi and Cade because we have a picture of them doing the same thing 3 years ago. Paybacks Cade. One day your son will do that to you too and you'll understand. Oh well.

Not a great picture, but had to get one with Emalyn too. Soon after this picture, the kids had ice cream so Cade got in a better mood.

Next on the agenda was ziplining! Cade is the tiny orange dot on the screen.

Here goes Maddi. She's the tiny white dot next to the lime green shirt.

Emalyn was looking for Sissy on the zipline.

Cade's zipline ride is all done! They had to wait in line for about 45 minutes and both kids said it was totally worth it.

One happy girl! She rode with her hands up the whole time both ways. It was so cute, like she was riding a roller coaster.

We walked by the KISS coffee house and had to get a picture with Paul Stanley's star child boots.

I don't know much about these big old boots, but I know my dad used to get phone calls from KISS fans wanting to talk to Paul Stanley. I think he would have loved to see these boots.

After Broadway at the Beach, we met another family at Abuelo's for some delicious margaritas and mexican food. It was a perfect night on the patio and a great way to end a fun day!
